Kudos to Jim Kucher and the EOC team

  We are very proud of the work that Jim Kucher and his colleagues in the EOC are doing to promote entrepreneurship in Baltimore.  This past month (March, 2010) over 300 individuals joined Jim Kucher and Dean Smith for the screening of Ten9Eight: Shoot for the Moon, a documentary about the national business plan competition held each year by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). The Merrick School is the University Partner for NFTE, which is currently in 23 Baltimore City schools and has shown over 7000 Baltimore youth a new pathway to self-reliance through entrepreneurship education.  The EOC plays a role in this effort by advising the program, hosting the business plan competitions and facilitating the training of NFTE teachers.  A number of NFTE graduates are now enrolled at UB.
